TOWARD SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING – STARTING WITH MATERIAL SELECTION

At intBOX, we believe that the path to sustainability begins with responsible material choices. Every type of paper, ink, and coating we use is carefully researched to ensure it meets aesthetic and quality standards while minimizing environmental impact.

🌿 Bagasse Paper – Regenerated from Agricultural By-products

Bagasse paper is made from the fiber residue left after sugarcane processing, instead of being discarded.

Key advantages:

  • No need for tree cutting, reducing CO₂ emissions and utilizing agricultural waste.
  • Natural whiteness, smooth surface, and strong durability.
  • Ideal for premium packaging products such as paper bags, gift boxes, greeting cards, and high-end packaging.

Sustainability meaning:
Bagasse paper is a demonstration of value regeneration—from by-product to valuable material—contributing to the circular economy model intBOX is committed to.

♻️ Recycled Paper – White Top, Test Liner & Other Recovered Fiber Solutions

intBOX applies recycled-based materials such as White Top, Test Liner, and other recycled paper grades for various packaging applications.

White Top:

  • A white surface layer produced from virgin or high-grade recycled pulp.
  • Ensures vivid print quality while maintaining structural strength.

Test Liner:

  • Made from 100% recycled paper.
  • Suitable for inner layers of carton packaging with high rigidity and compression strength.

Environmental benefits:

  • Reduces paper waste in landfills.
  • Saves energy and water compared to producing virgin fiber pulp.

🫘 Soy-based Ink – A Cleaner Printing Solution

Instead of petroleum-based ink, intBOX uses soy ink for offset printing and packaging production.

Advantages:

  • Significantly lower VOC (volatile organic compound) emissions, protecting workers’ health and the environment.
  • Provides bright colors, strong adhesion, and enhances recyclability.
  • Partially biodegradable, contributing to lower carbon footprint.

🌎 Eco-friendly Coating Solutions

In packaging production, coating layers are commonly used for moisture resistance or surface effects. intBOX is gradually transitioning to bio-based and water-based coating solutions, replacing traditional plastic film lamination.

New alternatives:

  • Water-based coatings
  • Bio-based coatings that are biodegradable or easily separated during recycling

Benefits:

  • Easier recycling
  • Improved biodegradability
  • Significant reduction in plastic waste

🌱 Moving Toward a Fully Green Value Chain

From material selection to manufacturing processes, intBOX continuously optimizes to:

  • Reduce waste and emissions in printing and production
  • Increase the proportion of recycled and renewable materials
  • Move toward a circular, responsible, and environmentally friendly packaging model

Every product created by intBOX is not only aesthetically crafted but also carries a strong commitment to a sustainable future for people and for the planet.
