TECHNICAL MANAGER – OFFSET PRINTING & EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT

1. General Overview

Manage all technical operations at the paper packaging manufacturing plant, including: Offset printing technology, color management, CTP – Proof – Offset systems, print quality control, and technical support for related departments.

2. Key Responsibilities

Offset Printing & Color Management

• Establish and maintain color management systems (ICC Profiles, Delta E, RIP, etc.).

• Control print quality from design file to finished products.

• Perform periodic calibration of printing, proofing, and CTP devices to ensure consistent color performance.

Technical Equipment Management

• Manage and monitor the condition of equipment: CTP, Offset printing machines, proofing machines, etc.

• Develop maintenance, servicing, and repair schedules in coordination with the Maintenance Department.

• Propose investment in new machinery and technology to enhance performance and quality.

Technical Quality Control

• Develop technical inspection procedures across the production process.

• Supervise output quality, reduce print errors and material waste, and improve productivity.

• Handle technical issues promptly during production.

Technical Team Management

• Assign tasks, train, and develop the technical team (prepress, color control, QA).

• Evaluate skills and performance, and propose development plans for team members.

Reporting & Internal Coordination

• Prepare periodic reports on technical performance and production quality for the Board of Directors.

• Closely coordinate with Production, QA, Planning, and Sales to optimize manufacturing efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Printing Technology, Prepress, Technical Engineering, or related fields.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Offset printing technology, including team/department management experience.

Technical Expertise

• Color management knowledge: ICC, Delta E, G7, ISO 12647, etc.

• Familiarity with CIP3/CIP4, RIP, CTP, proofing workflows.

• Proficiency with technical equipment & software such as X-Rite, GMG, Fiery, etc.
